Condolences

Condolence From: Joy Arnold
Condolence: Graham, Lynn, Freda

I remember the summer that I met Uncle Bruce for the first time. I was 14 and was spending the summer with my grandparents Ralph and Auldeen Reaman. They took me to Lindsey to the farm of the "Great Uncle Bruce" that I had heard so much about. I was in awe of meeting my mom's favourite uncle, whom she always talked about taking her skating as a teenager. I was expecting him to be 10 feet tall and made of steel the way mom always talked of him. But no he was Great Uncle Bruce with the dairy farm that had brown cows that made chocolate milk and kittens everywhere. A man who had the love of farming, tractor pulls and curling. No one warned me how much he loved to tease. I remember the last time I saw Uncle Bruce it was at my grandma's funeral in 2005 and he was so full of family knowledge and history. You will be missed deeply Uncle Bruce.

Condolence: Do Not Stand At My Grave and Weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints on snow, I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle Autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there; I did not die.
