Robert George Henderson - Bob worked as a linesman for Lindsay Hydro for 30 years; after they reorganized he spent the next 7 years at Whitby Hydro. You could always find his home open to family, friends enjoying the time spent, either for a quick visit or longer conversation, maybe even a meal. Bob appreciated the outdoors; he enjoyed the hunt camp, camping, walking the woods moose hunting, and just being outside. A dedicated family man, who always appreciated the benefit of meeting new people, and what life had to provide. Bob entered into rest at the Ross Memorial Hospital Lindsay on Friday October 14, 2016 in his 79th year. He was the beloved husband of Joan Henderson for 11 years. Proud father of Jim and his wife Liz, Dave and his wife Liz also step father to Debbie and her husband John Ingram, Cathy and her husband Paul Fargo and Tracy and her husband Doug Taylor. Cherished grandfather of Laura Henderson and Brandon Jones; Amanda Henderson; Erin Henderson and Will Grant, Liam Henderson also Amy and Jeremy Farr, April and Mike Gourlie, Corey Fargo, Miranda Fargo, Samantha ("Sammy") Taylor and Sydney ("Bunky") Taylor also great grandfather of Kyla, Alana Farr and Reid Gourlie. Dear brother of Isabell Cronk and the late Carl. Predeceased by sister Lorraine and Fred Knoll and Brother Jack and Marjorie Henderson. Bob will be remembered by his many nieces, nephews and their families, Heather and Ken Post, Wade and Pat Henderson, Shane Henderson, Tammy and Rick Fawcett and Trevor Henderson. Predeceased by his niece Cindy Henderson. A time to celebrate Bob's life will take place at the Manilla Hall on Friday, October 28 from 1:00 until 4:30 all are welcome to drop by to remember Bob. The family would like to thank Dr. Katakkar and Dr. Chandra also the staff of the Ross Memorial Hospital, for the care and compassion during Bob's illness." You were a great comfort to all of us."
