YORK; Helen Mary (Last Chartered Member and Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary, Branch #67, Royal Canadian Legion) ~ Passed away peacefully at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay on Sunday, October 17, 2010 surrounded by the love of her family. Helen York (nee Burke) was the beloved wife of the late Sydney York. Loving mother of Cassandra Flynn (Ed), Melody Quibell (Gary), John York, all of Lindsay, Elizabeth Jetten (Doug Cunningham) of Janetville and Gayle Kennedy (David) of Fort McLeod, AB. Loving Nana of 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and predeceased by 3 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Wes Burke (Joan), Frank Burke (Doreen) and the late Eleanor Crowley, Elva MacPherson, and William P. Burke. Also remembered by her sister in law Margaret Bean (Ron). Predeceased by her son in law Gary Jetten. Visitation will be held at the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Resurrection will be held at St. Mary's Church, 40 Russell Street East, Lindsay on Tuesday, October 19th at 1:00 p.m. Interment at Riverside Cemetery, Lindsay.
