Clarence Newton  Wilson
Wilson, Clarence Newton “Clare”- Former Branch Manager at Toronto Peterborough Transport, entered peacefully into rest at the Victoria Manor, Elford House on Sunday, July 30, 2017. Clare, in his 87th year was the beloved husband of Beryl (nee Bell), in their 65th year of marriage. Son of the late Newton Wilson and Marie (neè Kelly). Loving father to Glen (Grant Coward) and Gary (Tereasa). Cherished “Papa” of Tyler and Ryan Wilson. Survived by his sister-in-law Audrey Gallagher (nee Graham) (the late Bruce Bell) and predeceased by sister-in-law Florence Wood (nee Bell) (the late William Wood). Clare will be missed by his nieces, nephews and his many friends he made over the years and his Brethren of the Lodge of Faithful Brethren, Lodge #77 AF&AM. Clare loved spending his days traveling with his trailer, enjoying his classic cars, curling and snowmobiling as well as his active participation at Queen Street United Church.
A sincere thank you to the staffs at William Place, Victoria Manor and Ross Memorial Hospital who always demonstrated great compassion. Also to so many wonderful family members and friends for their continuing kindness.
Family and friends are invited to Celebrations, 35 Lindsay Street N., for visitation on Thursday, August 3rd. A Masonic Service will be held prior to visitation at 6:45 p.m. Brethren are asked to assemble by 6:30. Visitation will immediately follow from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. On Friday, August 4th visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery. For those wishing, donations to Queen Street United Church or the Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
