SCOTT, R. Shirley (née Smallwood) – Entered into rest peacefully at the Ross Memorial Hospital on Friday, June 16, 2017. Shirley in her 81st year was the beloved wife and best friend of the late Harold Scott for 48 years. Predeceased by parents Sam and Myrtle Smallwood and brother Calvin Smallwood (Edith). Survived by brother-in-law James Scott (Beverley) and predeceased by brother-in-law Howard (Dorothy), and sister-in-law Jessie (Tom Rodd). She will be missed and fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews, as well as great and great-great nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay on Sunday, June 25th from 7:00 – 9:00p.m. and Monday, June 26th from 12:30 until time of funeral service in the chapel at 1:30p.m. Interment to follow at Stone Church Cemetery, Beaverton. If desired, memorial donations to the Peniel United Church, Arthritis Society or a local organization of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
