Condolence: Having left the community I am a bit late in receiving notice of Mr. Clow's passing and my intent is not to stir up sad memories of his passing, but to honour who he was, the tangible good he did in shaping and impacting lives and what he meant to so many of his students. During my time at Brock High School Mr. Clow sacrificed every one of his lunch hours to accommodate those students who felt most marginalized and out of place. He made his classroom a safe space for them, he moderated their arguments, and gave them a place to eat and relax without fear of bullying or harassment, and he also often brought food for those who had none or who might have needed more. It wasn't until I was out of school that I realized just how much more Mr. Clow gave than most any other teacher in my life, and even just this kindness deserves praise. Mr. Clow was also an engaged member of society and was deeply concerned about politics, policy, equity and ethics. Without having been in his class in the 90's while Conservative establishments were trying very had to dismantle numerous workers' rights, I myself may not have learned how government works and how it could impact my life. Mr. Clow cared about what was happening in our Province and in our Country and helped educate this wild pocket of rural Ontario students, encouraging us to also take notice, take part and care about the decisions being made for us by local representatives. It can be very hard to quantify how any one person can have an impact on another, but knowing Mr. Clow and engaging with him helped me in so many ways. His memory will live in me and I will try to emulate all of the best qualities of him that I can remember, because he was full of good intentions and gave so much to so many. Rest in Peace Mr. Clow.

Condolence: Larry always said a heartfelt good morning!,when he arrived at Tim Hortons downtown. He would give words of praise to the "trainie" and always was thankful. I enjoyed so much our "adventures" volunteering with the Kawartha Lakes Food Source. Larry's dedication and generosity in helping with food drives and making very helpful suggestions at meetings were exemplary. He was a loyal volunteer and a good friend. You have our deepest sympathy at this time.

Condolence: Very sorry to hear of Larry's passing. He was a very hard working and committed teacher. I enjoyed his wry commentaries and divergent thinking as well as his love of history and politics. We taught in the same department and often in the same classroom and co-taught one course together. Larry was always organizing hockey pools and buying group lottery tickets. It is fair to say that OLG will definitely lose a lot of ticket sales now! Larry cared about kids. He tried to ensure that no student went without a breakfast or a lunch and kept his classroom open during lunch, showing movies, to keep kids from aimlessly roaming the halls and engage them in discussions. We will miss Larry and Linda caring for our cats when we go away. Larry had a heart of gold and helped everyone he could. Condolence: Dear Linda, Erin and Ashley, please know that we are thinking of you at this sad time. Larry was patient and kind and always had time for a spirited conversation. He will be missed in the community.

Condolence: I can only think of him as Larry, for he was my cousin. I have fond memories of the fun we had at Uncle Warren's and Aunt Dorothy's farm in Prince Edward County. Their home was built in the 1760's and it seemed like a magical place where young boys could have unlimited adventures. Being the oldest cousin, Larry was the leader and I must say he did a good job of getting us into and out of trouble. I have distinct memories of sitting on the wagon, pulled by a tractor, and eating a ripe tomato just like an apple. There was nothing like a County tomato! In latter years we drifted apart and I regret missed opportunities. Linda, Heather and I share in your loss and pray that you will be comforted by many memories of Larry's strong and stead presence. A life well lived, but no nearly long enough.

Condolence: Mr. Clow was one of, if not my favourite teachers in high school. Not only was he always willing to help those with poor grades but he also offered his classroom as a hangout spot for whomever wanted. Mr Clow was also very generous, often stashing extra food from the cafeteria for those without lunches. His hockey talks and weekly hockey pools were often a fun time. I'll never forget winning his 2001 playoff pool as well. He let every student have a voice/opinion on matters and always made them feel like they matter. Mr. Clow will be dearly missed and left an amazing legacy not only at Brock High but the surrounding community also. My prayers and condolences are with his family now. Rest peacefully sir.

Condolence: As former ED of Kawartha Lakes Food Source, I couldn't have survived a lot of my meetings without Larry walking into the office and placing a coffee on my desk, saying "rank has its privileges". He was a great volunteer and will be missed. Unfortunately, I can't be at the celebration of life as I am out of the country - my thoughts and prayers are with you Linda and Erin.

Condolence: Linda & Family: I knew Larry through our Food Source Committee. We always knew we would get a phone call the night before the meeting asking what we would like as a beverage the next day & he would go to Tims & bring our choice to us. When we had our Food Drives even if he wasn't scheduled he would sometimes show up to see if any help was required. He was such a thoughtful & helpful man. We will surely miss him for his knowledge and input at our meetings as we have missed him already. My thoughts & Prayers are with you at this time.
