BLACKBURN, Kenneth – Merchant Marine during WWII – Peacefully on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Caressant Care Nursing Home, Lindsay. Ken in his 95th year, was the loving father of Sharon and her husband Tim Pearson. Cherished grandfather of Tim Jr. (Cassandra), Brianne (Jason), Amanda (Sean) and Jeannine (Tyler); great-grandfather of Thomas-Jay, Chase, Shanna, Haidyn, Cash, Max, Violet, Ellie, Zack, and Alexis; great-great-grandfather of Carrera, and Paisley. Ken was the beloved son of the late George and Margaret Blackburn. He was the loving husband of the late Allie Pickens (2011) and the late Marion Thomas (1995), and is survived by his former wife Evelyn Miller. Ken will be remembered always by his dear friends Bruce Henry and Stephen Wilson. In keeping with Ken’s wishes cremation has taken place, a Private Family Graveside Service will be held at the Argyle Cemetery. If desired memorial donations to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #67 Lindsay, would be appreciated by the family.
