CARKNER, Thomas “Tom” – Entered into rest peacefully with family by his side on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at the Peterborough Regional Health Center in his 64th year. Tom was the beloved husband of Valerie in their 37th year. Loving father of Adam, Marc (Terri). Cherished grandpa of Katie. Dear brother of Elizabeth (Roger) Hutchinson, Marie (Charles) Ross, Henry, Jerry (Tracy) and James (Patty). Predeceased by sister Faye Parcells, Cathy Hutchinson, Jeanette Foster, and brothers Bill, John and Robert. Brother-in-law of Lloyd Foster, Clinton Parcells, Jane Anne Carkner, Harvey Hutchinson, Elizabeth Carkner, Terry O’Brien, Lisa (Dave) Parsons, Janet (Scott) MacGirr, Michael O’Brien and predeceased by Shawn O’Brien and Greg O’Brien. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay on Sunday, January 22nd 2:00 -4:00p.m. and 7:00 -9:00 p.m. Service will be Monday, January 23rd at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel.
