Obituary for David Raymond LaPorte

David Raymond LaPorte – Entered into rest peacefully on Friday, January 13th at the Ross Memorial Hospital at the age of 76. David was the beloved husband Marilyn in their 16th year of marriage, and predeceased by the late Hilda LaPorte (1998). David was the loving father of Mike (Angie), Shawn (Debbie), Crystal (Greg) and step-father of Jason and Melanie. Cherished grandpa of Brandon and Mitch, Kalanie and Chayton, and Leah. Great-grandpa of Eli. Brother of the late Frank (Doris), Doris, Ed (the late Linda), Don (Audress), the late Clara (Howard), the late Diane, Barb (Ken), Jim (Carolyn). Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay on Monday, January 16, 2017 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., and on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. until time of Service in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow. If desired, a memorial donation to the Salvation Army, Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Cystic Fibrosis of Canada.
