Sarah Elizabeth “Dorothy” McIntyre (née Bowhey) - Passed away peacefully at her home in Oakwood on Monday, December 5th, 2016 in her 103rd year. Dorothy was born in 1914 and was predeceased by her parents William and Mildred (Sommerset) Bowhey, her two husbands John Harcus and Alex McIntyre, and by her daughter Mary Bailey. Dorothy is survived by her sons Peter (Jean) Harcus, Jim (Barbara) Harcus and Bob Harcus, by her sister Barbara Harris and by five grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. The family wishes to express its sincere gratitude to Dr. Graham Loeb for his kindness and exceptional medical care given to our Mom over so many years, especially during the last years of her life. Thanks are also extended to the CCAC, its co-ordinators and PSWs for caring for our Mom and allowing her to remain in her own home. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 11th from 1:00 – 3:00 at the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay. Reception to follow at Oakwood United Church and interment will take place at the Little Britain Christian Cemetery at a later date.
