GOLDBY, Shirley A. (née Galbraith) - peacefully in her 83rd. year at her home in Lindsay Ontario. Predeceased by her husband Bryan (2012), beloved step-mother to Ian and Norman, grandmother to Brooklyn, sister to David (Betty) of Orangeville, ON, Peter (Donna) of Hopewell, Nova Scotia, Rick of Kaslo, B.C., sisters-in-law Peg Gray (Russ) of Hampstead, N.C., Joan Harris of Mission, B.C. and her late brothers Billie and Ken, and brother-in-law Orv. An accomplished bowler and avid golfer, Shirley will be missed by many nieces and nephews, family, and her circle of great friends who tried to keep up with her. A Remembrance Celebration will take place at 4 Heritage Way, Lindsay, ON. on Sunday November 27th. from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Burial has occurred in Toronto, ON. Many thanks to all the teams that provided such great support and care for Shirley over the past 3 months; Lindsay, Kingston and Oshawa hospitals, Castle Keep, Adelaide Place, and the extended CCAC palliative care unit. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes or the Canadian Wildlife Federation would be appreciated by the family.
