SWITZER, Dorothy Kathleen – Passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Victoria Manor, Lindsay. Dot (née Adams), in her 96th year, was the beloved wife of the late Robert Switzer (1979). Loving mother of Lorraine Stratton (Ken), Ellen Zealand (Clark), Olive Bastian (the late Gordon) and the late Doreen Switzer. Cherished Gran of 8 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. She is survived by her brother Peter Adams, and is predeceased by 3 sisters and 9 brothers. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff of Victoria Manor, for the care and compassion they showed to Dorothy while she resided there. Visitation will be at the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay on Thursday, October 6th from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Fairview Baptist Church, 130 Colborne Street West, Lindsay on Friday, October 7th at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery, Lindsay.
