Ruth Thornbury– Passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 18, 2016, in her 80TH year. Ruth Danilko was the beloved wife of the late Clarence Thornbury (2007). Loving mother of Larry Thornbury and his wife Greer, Lynda and her husband Charles Van Schaik, Lee Anna Thornbury, Willy Thornbury, and Marlene and husband Joe Kea. Cherished grandmother of Shawn, Bonnie, Colleen, Megan, Nicholas (Taylor), Brianna, Runar, Eyja, Tor, Brodie, Justin and Mac, and great grandmother of Rowan and Kaydence. Ruth is survived by her siblings Eustiena (Jim), John, Matthew (Sharon), Phil, Don (Nola), and Jim (Norma); sisters-in-law Lillian (John), Winnifred and Verna and brother-in-law Alan. Lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. In keeping with Ruth’s wishes a Private Family Service was held at Smith’s Cemetery, Woodville. If desired memorial donations to the Woodville United Church would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay (705-328-2721).
