Edward “Ted” Thompson– Entered into rest quietly and peacefully at the Ross Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family and friends on April 14, 2016 at the age of 76. Dear son of that late Robert and Eva Thompson. Ted was the loving father of Laura (Dave) Nixon and Jeff (Lindsay) Thompson. Cherished grandfather of Kyle Nixon, Dillion Nixon, Matt Nixon, Nathaniel and Eric Thompson and Deidre Jorgensen. Survived by brothers and sisters Terry (Pat) Thompson, Judy (Andy) Van Hoek, Jim (Sylvia) Thompson, Thressa (Grant) Hand. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay (705-328-2721). As per Ted’s wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 67 Lindsay on Friday, May 6th between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
