Obituary for Thomas Krawec

Thomas “Didi” Krawec ~passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on March 27, 2016 at the age of 85. Thomas was the loving husband of Bernice for nearly 62 years. Devoted father of Glen (Christina) and Lynn (Mark Pankhurst). Thomas was the cherished Didi of Nicole, Riki-Lynn, Brittany, Karsten, Brock and Kristy-Lynn as well as many others who loved to consider him their own Didi too. Brother of Olga and predeceased by sister Helen and parents Hnat and Mary. Thomas will be remembered as an avid sailor and a very insightful man who taught his family how to build a great life through hard work, dedication and commitment to family. We couldn’t have asked for a better father, grandfather and overall family man. In keeping with Tom’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Tom’s life at a visitation on Wednesday March 30th, 2016 between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay (705-328-2721), condolences may be left at www.mackeys.ca

One of Tom’s greatest joys in life was playing football and sharing stories about it with his family. He also loved watching his children and grandchildren play sports. In Tom’s memory donations can be made to Jumpstart, an organization that helps families that need a financial hand with registration, equipment and/or transportation costs for children’s sports www.jumpstart.canadiantire.ca/en/donate
